This is Gwen and her daughter Kila in the back.  They are doing a fantastic job of protecting chickens.

We've had Ari or should I say Ari has had us for about 6 months now. She is such a sweet and non threatening dog that she blended right in with our family of 3 dogs (Mastiff, Pug and Norweigen Elkhound) and 4 cats.

She is quite popular at the dog park as she is the self appointed greeter at the gate. Those that come in contact with her not only comment on her beauty but her affectionate nature as well. I feel very lucky that we stumbled into each other's lives.

She loves to romp, toss milk jugs, play fetch with the knotted rope and chase the occasional squirrel. It is nice to have youthful dog energy around as our other dogs are over 14 yrs old ( the ancient ones).

We take daily walks down our country road for the paper and then for long walks in the woods- Her favorite part.

It took her a bit to get us trained in her communication preferences but everyone is seeming clearer all the time about what the other wants.

We are currently working with her to become a therapy dog( both as a mental health therapist's assistant as well as a visitor to hospitals and nursing homes) and we will attend our test prep class in February. We couldn't have imagined a sweeter, more loving and social dog and I have fostered and lived with many a dog. Thanks so much for the work you do and allowing Ari and our paths to cross- she is a one of  a kind dog.

Ali came home to me on December 9, 2006 through the help of my boss (and friend).  We’ve had lots of fun getting to know each other.  She likes to take me for walks.  Her first stop is always next door at my sister’s house for her biscuit and then we continue to on to cover her five acres.

She gets along well with my aging big black cat. They share Ali’s giant pillow bed.

For Christmas, Ali got lots of presents under the tree.  She likes her biscuits, rawhide bones and pull rope toy the best.

Ali is not much of a barker and loves attention from all humans.  The neighbor kids call her a big fluffy polar bear.
